# This free email finder gets anyone’s work email from their name and company.

Type a name and the company’s website, or paste a LinkedIn profile. We build the likely addresses in the formats companies use and ask the mail server which one exists before we show it. Nothing is ever sent to the person.

- **3 free searches a day**, no signup and nothing to install.
- Found **88 of 100** work emails in our own test, against 67 for Hunter.
- Every result shows **the pattern, the mail server and every address we checked**.

Test: the same 100 contacts searched in each tool, published 2 August 2026.

Most finders hand you an address and stop. Ours shows the verdict, the address format, who runs the company’s mail and every address we tried, so you can see why we’re sure, or why we can’t be.

iExamplesAll names and companies here are made up.

## Start from a name, a LinkedIn profile or a whole company.

Pick whichever you have. The first two are free on this page; the third is what Emailchaser does every day for its users.

### You have a name and a company.

Type the first name, last name and the company’s website. Business domains only: there is no pattern to work out for gmail.com.

**Free here:** 3 searches a day, no signup.

### You have a LinkedIn profile.

Paste the profile link into the LinkedIn tab above. You get the person’s work email, their job title and their company, checked the same way.

**Free here:** 3 lookups a day. More on the [LinkedIn email finder](https://www.emailchaser.com/linkedin-email-finder).

### You want everyone at a company.

Emailchaser lists the people at any company with verified work emails, filtered by job title, then sends them your sequence with automatic follow-ups.

**In Emailchaser:** your free trial includes 500 lead credits.

## Here is how the email finder works, step by step.

_01_**Read the company's mail setup**We look up the domain's mail servers, which tells us who runs its mail: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, a gateway like Proofpoint, or another server.

_02_**Build the likely addresses**From the name we build 12 or more candidates in the formats companies use: first.last, first, flast, firstlast and the rest, plus short forms like Mike for Michael.

_03_**Check every mailbox**Each candidate goes to our email verifier, which asks the mail server whether that mailbox exists. No email is sent.

_04_**Show the one that's real**A confirmed address is marked Verified. On a catch-all domain no server can confirm one, so the address that passes our catch-all check is marked Likely. Either way you see every address we checked.

A search takes a few seconds to about a minute, because some mail servers answer slowly. Want to run the steps yourself? The [company email format finder](https://www.emailchaser.com/company-email-format-finder) shows the pattern, the [email permutator](https://www.emailchaser.com/email-permutator) builds the candidates, and the [email checker](https://www.emailchaser.com/email-verifier) tests each one.

## We searched the same 100 people in each tool, and ours found 88.

Many finders only return addresses that were published somewhere on the web. Ours also works out addresses that were never published, from the formats companies use, and checks them live. That is where the 21 extra finds come from.

The method and the other tools we ranked are in [the 100\-contact test write-up](https://www.emailchaser.com/learn/best-email-finder-tools).

## Emailchaser is the only finder here that shows you its working.

These are the tool pages Google ranks highest for “email finder”. Ours is the only one that lists every address it checked, and it found the most in our test.

| Email finder | Free allowance | What a result shows | Shows every address it checked | Found in our 100-contact test |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Emailchaser | **3 searches a day, no account** | Email, Verified or Likely, pattern, mail server | Yes, on every result | 88 of 100 |
| Hunter | 50 a month with a free account | Email, status, confidence score, web sources | No | 67 of 100 |
| Skrapp | 50 credits with a free account | Email and its status | No | Figure not published |

## When a search comes back empty, one of four things is usually true.

### Mail runs on another domain

The website is acme.io but staff email is on acme.com. Look at any address the company publishes, or check the domain with the [MX lookup](https://www.emailchaser.com/mx-lookup), then search again on the mail domain.

### The mailbox uses another name

Bob is Robert, a surname changed, a hyphen was dropped. Try the formal first name, or split a messy full name with the [name splitter](https://www.emailchaser.com/name-splitter).

### The domain accepts everything

On a catch-all domain we show the likeliest address as Likely instead of Verified, so send it carefully. The [email permutator](https://www.emailchaser.com/email-permutator) lists every format if you want to pick another.

### The person has no work mailbox

Freelancers and founders of one-person companies often use Gmail, which has no pattern to work out.

### Have an email and want the person behind it?

That’s the other direction. Our free [reverse email lookup](https://www.emailchaser.com/reverse-email-lookup) shows who owns a work address, where they work and whether the mailbox is real.

### Looking for someone’s personal Gmail?

No Gmail finder can work one out from a name: personal addresses follow no company pattern. Sites that claim to are usually reselling old leaked data. For outreach, the work email is the one you want.

## These are the questions people ask most about finding an email address.

### Is there a free email finder with no sign-up?

Yes, this one. Every visitor gets 3 free searches a day with no account and nothing to install. Use all 3 at once, and one comes back every 8 hours after that.

### How do I find someone's email address by name?

Type their first name, last name and their company's website into the finder at the top of this page. We build the likely addresses in the formats companies use, check each mailbox, and show you the one that exists, usually in under a minute.

### Can I find an email from a LinkedIn profile?

Yes. Paste the profile link into the LinkedIn tab and you get the person's work email, job title and company, checked by our verifier. The LinkedIn tab has its own 3 free lookups a day.

### Is there a free unlimited email finder?

Not one that checks every address live, because each check costs money to run. Tools that promise unlimited searches usually serve addresses from an old database, which is how lists end up bouncing. We give you 3 live searches a day instead, with no signup.

### Are the emails guessed or found somewhere?

Worked out, then confirmed. We build the candidates in the formats companies use and the mail server tells us which mailbox exists. That's why we can find addresses that were never published anywhere.

### How accurate is the email finder?

In our own test of 100 contacts, published 2 August 2026, it found 88, against 67 for Hunter. A Verified result was confirmed by the mail server. A Likely result is on a catch-all domain, where no tool can confirm a mailbox.

### What does "Likely: catch-all" mean?

The company's server accepts mail for every address, so it can't confirm that one mailbox exists. The address passed our catch-all check, which makes it the best match, but it could still bounce. Send it on its own or in a small separate batch.

### Why didn't the email finder return an address?

Usually the company sends mail from another domain, the person uses a different name on their mailbox, or they have no work mailbox at all. The result lists every address we checked, so you know what is left to try.

### Can I find someone's Gmail address by name?

No tool can work one out reliably. Work emails follow company patterns like first.last@company.com, but personal Gmail addresses follow none, so sites that claim to find them are usually reselling old leaked data. For outreach, the work email is the one you want, and that is what this finder gets.

### Does the person know I searched for them?

No. Checking a mailbox asks the mail server a question and stops before any email is sent, so nothing reaches the person.

### Is it legal to use an email finder?

Yes, for legitimate business outreach. We only return work contact details, Emailchaser complies with GDPR and CCPA, and anyone can ask us to remove their data through our opt-out page.

### What is the Emailchaser email finder?

It is the free tool on this page, 3 searches a day with no signup, and one part of Emailchaser, our cold email platform. The finder gets you one address at a time; the platform finds verified prospects and sends the sequence and the follow-ups.

### Can I find emails for a whole list of people?

Yes, in Emailchaser. It lists the people at the companies you choose with verified work emails, or finds the emails for a list of LinkedIn profiles, then sends your sequence with follow-ups.
