Best Cold Email Software In 2024: 40 Top Tools Compared

Updated April 2024

There are a lot of tools that allow you to send cold emails.

However, not all are created equal.

In this article, I will compare the top 40 cold email softwares. I will review their features, pricing and usability, and will let you know which you should use.

Important note: I am the founder of Emailchaser, so I am biased. However, in this article, I will provide helpful information so that you can come to your own conclusions.

1. Emailchaser

Features

Emailchaser was built to be an all-in-one cold email software.

It has all of the features that you need to launch a successful cold email campaign.

With Emailchaser, you can send cold emails at scale via their Campaigns feature.

You can also manage your leads with their Sales CRM. This allows you to create custom columns.

You can also export leads with their email addresses from LinkedIn Sales Navigator using their LinkedIn Email Finder extension.

Finally, you can find and verify email addresses with their Email Finder and Email Verifier tools.

image showing features

Pricing

Emailchaser costs $97 per month.

Billing is monthly, and there are no contracts, meaning that you can cancel anytime.

Also, Emailchaser gives you their “Professional Plan” for free for the first month, allowing you to try all of their features risk-free (no credit card required).

This is very reasonably priced when you consider that it has all of the features that you need to send cold emails. You don’t need to pay for other tools when you use Emailchaser.

Usability

Emailchaser has the best UI/UX.

It is very easy to use. Its dashboard and overall user interface is simple and clear.

When you sign up, there are onboarding instructions that you can follow. It also allows you to invite your team members.

Overall thoughts

Overall, Emailchaser is the best cold email software because it is simple to use, and has all of the features that you need to run a successful cold email campaign.

It is also reasonably priced and offers the first month free (no credit card required).

You may be wondering why Emailchaser doesn’t offer a “warm-up” feature. We explain why warm-up is a bad idea in our article Does Email Warm Up Work & Is It Safe?

2. Hunter

Features

Hunter allows you to send cold emails. It also has an Email Finder and Email Verifier tool.

However, their Campaigns feature is limited, and their Email Finder tool finds 21% less emails than Emailchaser’s Email Finder.

Hunter doesn’t have a Sales CRM or LinkedIn Email Finder.

comparison chart showing Hunter's features

Pricing

Hunter charges $104 per month.

However, they only allow you to connect 10 sender email accounts. Emailchaser allows you to connect an unlimited number of email accounts, which allows you to scale your outreach infinitely.

Usability

Hunter is relatively easy to use, but it can still be a little confusing for beginners.

When creating campaigns, the user flow isn’t clear, making it difficult for first time users.

Overall thoughts

Overall, Hunter is a good tool, but it isn’t the best.

If you use Hunter, you will still need to use other tools to find leads, and you will also be limited in your email outreach in terms of scalability as they don’t offer inbox rotation or unlimited email accounts.

3. Mailshake

Features

Mailshake is a good tool if your primary goal is to send cold emails.

However, it doesn’t have a proper Sales CRM, meaning that it can be difficult to track the status of your leads.

This is quite expensive compared to other tools, especially when you consider that they don’t offer all of the features needed for sending a high volume of cold emails.

Usability

Close can be a little confusing for first time users.

There is a relatively high learning curve when using Close for the first time.

Overall thoughts

Overall, Close is a good sales CRM for teams that want to send a relatively low volume of personalized cold emails.

But it isn’t the best tool if you want to send a higher volume of cold emails.

5. Lemlist

Features

Lemlist offers a strong Campaigns feature, allowing you to create cold email campaigns.

You can send a high volume of emails with Lemlist, and there are many automation features that help you scale your outreach.

However, Lemlist doesn’t allow you to add an unlimited number of sender email accounts to a campaign, meaning that scaling is limited after a certain level.

image of comparison chart

Pricing

This is a reasonable price considering that their Campaigns feature is very advanced.

Usability

Lemlist is difficult to use.

It is confusing, since their UI/UX isn’t clear. It can take a while to learn how to use Lemlist effectively. For example, creating an email campaign in Lemlist is not straightforward.

There are better cold email softwares that you can use (like Emailchaser).
