Data enrichment tools work in three different ways, and the way decides what you pay for.
Emailchaser, Hunter, Datagma and Snov.io take a name and a company, or a LinkedIn link, and return the work email.
Clay and FullEnrich ask several data sources in turn for each record, which is how they add mobile numbers and personal emails.
Surfe and UpLead add contact data to a CRM or a lead list, priced by the user or by the credit.
Emailchaser enriches a list of LinkedIn profiles in five steps.
- CollectGather the profile links or names and companies you already have.
- PastePaste up to 10,000 profile links or upload a CSV into one run.
- MatchEmailchaser reads each name and company and finds the work email at the company's domain.
- CheckEach address is checked twice, and a profile with no match costs nothing.
- SendDownload the spreadsheet, or add the people to a campaign with automatic follow-ups.
The company email format finder ranks the address formats companies use, and it is free with no signup.

We compared them on five things that decide which enrichment tool fits a team.
- What the tool adds: a work email, a mobile number or company data.
- What you start from: a name and company, a LinkedIn link or an email address.
- How the price is set: by the credit, by the token or by the user.
- What a free start gives you before you pay.
- Whether the enriched contact can be sent to from the same account.

People ask these questions about data enrichment tools.
What is the best data enrichment tool in 2026?
For adding verified work emails to names, companies and LinkedIn links we pick Emailchaser: 3 lookups a day are free with no signup, one run takes up to 10,000 profile links, and every address is checked twice. It found 88 of 100 work emails in our August 2026 test against 67 for Hunter. Clay and FullEnrich are the choice for many data sources.
What is data enrichment?
It is adding missing details to a contact or company record you already hold, such as a work email, a phone number or a company size. You start from what you have, such as a name and company or a LinkedIn link, and the tool fills in the rest.
What is the difference between data enrichment and lead generation?
Enrichment starts from records you already have and fills in the gaps. Lead generation finds new people who fit a profile. Emailchaser does both: the LinkedIn email finder enriches the profiles you have, and the Lead Finder searches its people database for new prospects.
How much do data enrichment tools cost?
It depends on how the vendor sets the price. From the vendors' own pages: Snov.io Starter $39 a month, Hunter Starter $49, Datagma Regular $49, Surfe Essential $49 per user, FullEnrich Pro $55 for 1,000 credits, UpLead Essentials $99 and Clay Launch $185. Emailchaser plans start at $47 a month, with credits at $33 per 1,000.
Can I enrich a whole list at once?
Yes. Emailchaser takes up to 10,000 LinkedIn profile links or a CSV in one run, and you download the emails as a spreadsheet. Inside Emailchaser a profile costs 5 credits, and a profile with no match costs nothing.
Which enrichment tools have a free plan?
Emailchaser gives 3 free lookups a day with no signup and a 7-day free trial with 500 lead credits. Clay lists 100 free data credits a month, Hunter 50 credits, Datagma 100 credits and Surfe 20 email credits, FullEnrich gives a 50-credit trial and UpLead 5 credits for 7 days.
Can I send to the emails an enrichment tool finds?
Most enrichment tools hand you a file and stop there. Emailchaser keeps the contacts, the address checks and the campaign in one account, so an enriched profile can go straight into a sequence with automatic follow-ups.

“Btw thanks for your continuous help, best support ever! It means a lot as when I understand how the tool works, esp. In problematic situations, and And what it can do and cannot so from the start, I have more trust. There’s nothing worse for a user than what Smartlead does: lots of great features that don’t really work, including crucial ones for a sequencer like auto fallback to connected accounts when account gets disconnected (doesn’t have to get back to the original one after reconnection, no one expects miracles, just a solid infra delivering on its specs - not promises), plus their low quality support when the issues are revealed.”
“Got my first reply with Emailchaser :)”
“We've recently upgraded to the premium plan to increase our sending volume. Just wanted to say thanks for such an awesome platform and the support you've already given in getting us started.”
